2 Chronicles 6:1-11 "For all the promises of God in (Christ) are YES, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
After a global financial crisis, the US government enacted stricter laws to protect people from questionable banking practices. Banks had to change some of their policies to comply. To notify me of such changes, my bank sent me a letter. But when I got to the end I had more questions than answers. The use of Phrases like "we may" and "at our discretion" certainly didn't sound like anything I could depend on!
In contrast, the Old Testament quores God as saying " I will " numerous times. God promises David: "I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. he shall build a house for MY name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever" (2 Sam. 7:12-13). No uncertainty in those words. Recognizing God's faithfulness to His promises, King Solomon says in his prayer of dedication for the temple: "You have kept what You promised Your servant david my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand" (2 Chron. 6:15). Centuries later, the apostle Paul said that all of God's promises are "yes" in Christ (2 Cor. 1:20).
In a world of uncertainty, our trust is in a faithful God who will always keep His promises.
Whatever trouble may assail,
Of this we can be sure:
God's promises can never fail,
They always will endure.
Faith knows that God always performs what he promises.
Welcome to "The example" I hope what you read blesses you as I know it will be a blessing to me and others as well.

When Royalty Comes To Town
1 Corinthians 6:19............. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you... and you are not your own.
My friend tim Davis tells the story of being in Trinidad as a little boy when Queen Elizabeth came to visit their town. He recalls going with his missionary parents to join hundredss of others who gathered to greet the queen. Waving his little flag, he watched as the entourage came down the street- first the soldiers, then the mounted guard, and then the limousine from which she waved to the cheering crowd. He looked as the queen drove out of town, leaving everyone to return to life as usual. In Tim's words, "Royalty came to town and nothing changed!"
For those of us who have accepted Jesus as Savior, there was a day when royalty arrived- in our heart. As Paul put it, our body is "the temple of the Holy Spirit"(1 Cor.6:19) - a reality that has huge ramifications. His residence in our life is intended to transform us to live in a way that brings glory to Him. Our relationships, the way we serve our employer, how we use our money, how we treat our enemies, and everything else in our lives should reflect the wonderful reality that royalty lives within.
Has anything changed since King Jesus came into your heart? Does your world world notice or do they think He was just pssing through?
By this shall every person know
That we serve God above:
His Spirit dwells within our hearts
And fills us with His love.
IF JESUS HAS TAKEN UP RESIDENCE IN US, THE WORLD SHOULD NOTICE A LASTING CHANGE.

FRIENDS IN THE NIGHT
1 Samuel 18:1...... The soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
Do you have someone you could call in the middle of the night if you needed help? Bible teacher Ray Pritchard calls these people "2 a.m. friends." if you have an emergency, this kind of friend would ask you two questions: "Where are you?" and "What do you need?"
Friends like that are crucial during difficult times. Jonathan was that type of friend for David. Jonathan's father, King Saul- who was filled with envy at David's popularity and God's blessing on him- tried to kill him (1 Sam. 19:9-10). David escaped and asked his friends for help ( ch. 20). While David hid in the field, Jonathan sat at dinner with his father and quickly realized that Saul did indeed intend to kill David ( vv.24-34).
Because of their deep friendship, Jonathan "was grieved for David" (v.34). He warned him of his father's plan and told him he should leave (vv. 41-42). David recognized what a good friend he had in Jonathan. The Bible says they wept together, "but David more so" (v.41). Their souls were "knit" together.
Do you have loving Christian friends you can count on in a crisis? Are you someone your friends would call a "2 a.m. friend"?
Thank God for you, good friend of mine,
Seldom is friendship such as thine;
How very much I wish to be
As helpful as you've been to me.

Business Card
1Timtohy 1:1, 12-17 - Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ..........
In some cultures, the title below your name on your business card is very important. It identifies your rank. the way you are treated depends on your title as compared with others around you.
If Paul had a business card, it would have identified him as an "apostle" (1Timothy 1:1), meaning "sent one". he used the title not out of pride but out of wonder. He didn't earn that position; it was "by the commandment of God our Savior and The Lord Jesus Christ." In other words, his was not a human but a divine appointment.
Paul had formerly been a "blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man"(v.13). he said that he considered himself to be the "chief" of sinners(v.15). But because of god's mercy, he was now an apostle, one to whom "the King eternal" (v.17) had commited the glorious gospel and whom he had sent out to share that gospel.
What is more amazing is that like the apostle paul we are all sent out by the King of kings to the world (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). Let's recognize with humility that we don't deserve such a commision either. It is our privilege to represent Him and His eternal truth in word and in deed each day to all around us.
Let us go forth, as called of god,
Redeemed by Jesus' precious blood;
His love to show, His life to live,
His message speak, His mercy give.
GOD GAVE YOU A MESSAGE TO SHARE.
DON'T KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!

Welcome to the new blog site called the example!
1 Timothy says "Be an example in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity. Which is the very reason for this blogsite, to display our examples on how we allowed God to work on us and change our lives the way he sees us. On this site i will give my example of how he has changed me and I ask for you to do the same as well. We all have to tell people so they will know and see what God has done in our lives.
The Example will be the new reality show that really can change lives just by telling our stories. If you are the example please feel free to email me at vipsocialite@yahoo.com and I will personally contact you back and set up an appointment.
Everyone be blessed remember the vow you made to God and I look forward to hearing from you. Let's together glorify God through the change he did in us.
